Original Marketing Guild Committee Commitments:
Original Commitments made by Marketing Guild Committee members
v2 — Commitments made by Marketing Guild Committee members
New commitments reflecting the updated committee structure per TIP-49 and modifications from TIP-073.
Committee decisions
- Prompt responsiveness on all critical decisions we put to a vote (e.g., filling committee vacancies, ratifying budget proposals, making major resource investments)
- Making an effort to vote and provide polling feedback on less than critical decisions - both in the interest of good decision making by the committee, as well as to provide transparency to the community
- Engaging with additional alignment and brainstorming activities, including being willing to volunteer with efforts to enhance outcomes via full committee participation.
- Weighing in on major topics discussed (i.e., not allowing the same people to always drive the discussion and decisions)
- Expressing concerns and questions (i.e., please don’t remain silent if the majority is moving in a direction that warrants more or different discussion)
Objectives & key results
- Contributing 6-8 hours per month on average: some weeks will naturally be heavier or lighter than others. 4 to 5 hours of this time will be spent in a weekly meeting that requires active participation and conversation. The remaining time will be spent participating in async conversations in the mg-main channel on Discord, reviewing and signing transactions, and budget swaps as necessary.
Meetings
- Attend the weekly strategy meeting (currently under scheduling cadence review); our goal is to cover the core agenda in 60 minutes.
- When one will be on vacation or other planned absence, let the committee know in advance; notify by same day if out due to illness.
- When one returns, review the meeting notes and minutes to address any action items and gain responsible awareness of committee activity.
