Original Marketing Guild Committee Commitments:
Original Commitments made by Marketing Guild Committee members
New commitments reflecting the updated committee structure per TIP-49.
Committee decisions
- Prompt responsiveness on all critical decisions we put to a vote (e.g., filling committee vacancies, ratifying budget proposals, making major resource investments )
- Making an effort to vote and provide polling feedback on less than critical decisions - both in the interest of good decision making by the committee, as well as to provide transparency to the community
- Engaging with additional activities, including being willing to volunteer with efforts to enhance outcomes via full committee participation
- Weighing in on major topics discussed (i.e., not allowing the same people to always drive the discussion and decisions)
- Expressing concerns and questions (i.e., please don’t remain silent if the majority is moving in a direction that warrants more or different discussion)
Objectives & key results
- Owning 1 or 2 activities on the committee’s current OKR list (i.e., being responsible for outlining the sub tasks and providing updates; the owner contributes to the work but is not solely responsible for it)
- Contributing 6-8 hours per month of committee work, on average: some weeks will naturally be heavier or lighter than others, but the DAO has entrusted us to invest resources productively - so if one needs help prioritizing activities, ask the (1) DAO Marketing Lead, (2) Chair(s), or (3) one’s committee position partner (RIP Secretary).
Meetings
- Attending the Monthly strategy meeting (currently under scheduling cadence review); our goal is to cover the core agenda in 120 minutes
- When one will be on vacation or other planned absence, let the committee know in advance; notify by same day if out due to illness
- If one must miss the strategy meeting, post your updates for someone to share in your absence
