1. 250 total initial nodes (before WorkLock type program)
   • Virtual nodes sufficient for operation
   • Preference for independent nodes for progressive decentralization

What are Bootstrap nodes?

• Bootstrap nodes are a critical piece of infrastructure for the Threshold Network
• Their operator address is hard-coded into off-chain client code (and therefore, subsequently into the nodes authorized to support our tBTC bridge contracts, for example)

V2 SLA agreement / requirements:

• Provider commits for 4 years of operation
• Provider operates 3 random beacon and ecdsa nodes
• Geographic distribution and resilience – each node in a separate region
• 99.9% monthly uptime
• Production-grade deployment (not digital ocean VM)
• Stake cannot be undelegated at customer’s request

• Roles: DAO pays SLA
• Proposed price: 2MM T per bootstrap provider agreement
